The hottest wedding trend of 2008 is having a Green Wedding due to many people changing the way they live their lives in order to help save the planet. There are a few simple ways to have your perfect wedding and still be eco-friendly. First of all, when picking out the invitations, look for invitations that are printed on recycled paper and that possibly use soy and vegetable based ink.
During the reception, serve some organic wine for your toast. Talk to the caterer about using organic ingredients and locally grown food for the wedding cake and food being served during the reception. Use flowers that are organically grown or locally grown for the bouquets.
Also, instead of using cut flowers for the centerpieces at the reception, use potted flowers or plants that can be transplanted in your yard. And last but not least, give your guests a packet of flower seeds or a small potted plant as a wedding favor to be planted in memory of your special day.
